• Houdini Provisioning Instructions

• First make sure the Samsung R500 is  in the on position. Make sure the memory card has been removed from the handset.
• Enter the Menu and select Settings, scroll to Phone Settings and then select PC Connection. USB Modem should be selected.
• Continue normally with the Houdini Detect button and complete the Houdini process.  

• Additional Issues
• Always make sure the drivers for the handset have been installed correctly.
• If your handset is not being detected view the most common issues below
• Damaged data port on the handset itself. Check for water damage or damage to the data port on the handset.
• USB driver conflict (Most Common) Download and install the drivers we supply on our website. Houdini is fully compatible with Windows 2000,XP,Vista.
• Handset has not been added to the Houdini database.
• Net 2.0 framework is needed to run Houdini. Download from the support tab on our site.

 Manual Programming:

• Power the phone on

• Select menu then go to settings

• Press * followed by 000000 (or 333333)

• Go to NAM programming then hit OK

• Select NAM 1 and press OK

• Press OK then enter the MDN followed by OK

• Go to MIN and hit OK

• Enter MDN followed by OK
• Press the left soft key to exit the phone will power cycle and programming is now complete

The Alltel Samsung R500 uses the following programming:

• Power the phone on
• Enter ##626#
• Select NAM 1 and scroll to EDIT
• Enter 000000 or (333333)
• Enter 10 digit MDN followed OK
• Enter 10 digit MIN followed by OK
• Press OK and select done then exit
• Phone will power cycle and programming is now complete

 The Cricket Samsung R500 uses the following programming.

• Power on handset
• Enter ##626*
• Enter 000000 or (333333)
• Press OK and enter 10 digit MDN followed by OK
• Select MIN and enter 10 digit number followed by OK
• Press the RED END key and phone will poser cycle, programming is complete.
