Samsung SCH I605 Galaxy Note 2 Verizon

Phone Pre-Setup
  • NOTE: A Verizon LTE SIM card is required to properly provision the Samsung SCH-i605 Galaxy Note 2
    Go to Menu, Settings, Developer Options and add a check mark next to USB Debugging
  • Android Version 4.1.2
  • Go to Phone Dialer and type *#22745927
    Enable Hidden Menu
    Go to Phone Dialer and type *#7284#
    Select PDA
    Select Qualcomm USB Setting
    Select DM + Modem + ADB
    Select OK
    Open Dial Pad
    (Remember after flashing to return Qualcom USB Setting to MTP+ADB)
  • Android Version 4.3
  • Open the Dial Pad and dial ##366633#
  • Select "Enable DM Mode" 
  • Phone is now in the correct mode to install drivers and be provisioned. 
If Houdini says the device cannot be provisioned but the device is showing in your device manager, please follow the these instructions.

4.1.2

  1. With the device plugged:
  2. Dial *#7284# or ##3424# 
  3. Set UART to PDA
  4. Select Qualcomm USB Settings
  5. Set to MTP + ADB
  6. Disable USB Debugging Mode (Menu> Settings> Developer Options)
    1. If you don't see Developer Options, Enable them by going to Menu> Settings> About Device and Tap "Build Number" 7 times. This will enable Developer Options.
  7. Allow Drivers to load completely.  This can take up to 5 minutes.
  8. Device should now appear in device manager as Samsung Mobile USB CDC Composite Device
  9. Now..With the phone still plugged in, turn off and turn on (Restart the device)
  10. After the phone finished restarting, Dial *#7284# or ##3424# 
  11. Make sure PDA is still selected and select Qualcomm USB Settings
  12. Select DM+Modem+ADB
  13. Again allow the drivers to load.
  14. Detect

4.3

  1. With the device plugged in:
  2. Dial ##366633#
  3. Disable DM Mode
  4. Disable USB Debugging Mode (Menu> Settings> Developer Options)
    1. If you don't see Developer Options, Enable them by going to Menu> Settings> About Device and Tap "Build Number" 7 times. This will enable Developer Options.
  5. Allow Drivers to load completely.  This can take up to 5 minutes.
  6. Device should now appear in device manager as Samsung Mobile USB CDC Composite Device
  7. Now..With the phone still plugged in, turn off and turn on (Restart the device)
  8. After the phone finished restarting, Dial ##366633# 
  9. Enable DM Mode
  10. Again allow the drivers to load.
  11. Detect

     

     

    PAGEPLUS DATA FIX:

    First, try an ESN change with Page plus:
      1. Turn off Note 2
      2. Get a non-lte Verizon phone and put it’s ESN on the account
      3. Dial *228 on the Verizon phone, then place a test call
      4. If the call goes through successfully, turn off the Verizon phone and change ESN back to Note 2s
      5. Turn on Note 2, and test call then check data
      If that does not work, then:
        1. Factory reset Note 2
        2. Take out SIM
        3. Flash phone without the SIM (DO NOT BYPASS ACTIVATION)
        4. Once flash is complete, turn off and turn back on the Note 2
        5. Place a test call using emergency call feature
        6. Phone will say it needs SIM
        7. Replace SIM in the phone
        8. Turn phone on, complete activation steps
        9. Dial *228 and device should tell you a SIM card has updated your phone's roaming capabilites
        10. Make test call and check data
        Programming
        • Dial *#22745927
          At Hidden Menu Screen Select Hidden Menu
          Select Enabled and Press OK
          Dial **772
          Select Edit
          Select MDN
          Enter new MDN (10 digit phone number) and press OK
          Select MSID
          Enter new MIN (10 digit number) and press OK
          Press Back then Done
          Phone will power cycle and programming is now complete
